TESTIMONIALS

PAULA LENNON

“Tony and I have lived in Coffs Harbour/Sawtell area for 44 years. Our 4 children attended St Augustine’s, Mary Help of Christians, Jetty High and Toormina schools. There was no University in Coffs Harbour and they had to go to Cities after Year 12 for the courses they wanted to pursue.

We were soon on our own. Tony is a lawyer and I opened a Bridal Shop with a friend. After some years I became more involved in volunteer work and still doing that  I played Golf and travelled to Children and Grandchildren. Then found Community Radio!

After several homes from Acreage to High Rise to a beautiful house near the Beach for family to spend time with us… we got over gardens and house chores and thought it was time to move to a Retirement Village.

Having been involved with Marian Grove over the years we knew it was where we wanted to be!  We sold our beautiful house in 5 weeks and were fortunate enough to see the Unit we loved and paid our Deposit over 2 years ago!  How Blessed we feel to live in such a wonderful Village. It has everything but most of all peace, happiness, contentment, friends, love ….and a beautiful Chapel.”

“John and I moved into Marian Grove almost four years ago, not sure what to expect from living in a retirement village. We have continued to be delighted and thrilled with our choice and feel so very lucky to be part of this wonderful community here in Marian Grove.

We love the relaxed, almost resort, feeling of the village, with the trees and gardens, the fountains, statues and art works that adorn the chapel gardens, the beautiful recreational room which also houses a well-stocked and skilfully cared for library, a kitchen and a billiards room.  The gardens and villas are so professionally maintained and supported by our maintenance crew. The new Grove Café has become a central meeting spot to enjoy morning coffee and snacks with friends and family, or a freshly cooked lunch to share with fellow residents.

Our activities programme is wide and varied to suit all tastes from table tennis, cards, craft, Wii fitness groups, bingo, embroidery, movie and concert afternoons to name just a few. A very special and enjoyable activity is our monthly resident’s luncheon in the recreational room.

We, the residents, are very well supported by a very caring and professional management and pastoral care team whose aim is always to ensure we continue to receive the excellent service they provide for us.

John and I continue to have a great feeling of pride and contentment in living here at Marian Grove, a retirement village beyond all our expectations.”
