Mater Christi COVID-19 Update 29.06.2021

In accordance with the state and federal government directives to minimise the risk of Covid-19 entering our community, we will continue with the following:

  • Given the rapidity of spread, only visitors from the Coffs Region are allowed to visit until further notice. Visitors are to have a Coffs Region postcode, pass the screening test regarding contacts, temperature checks and wellness.

  • If you have travelled outside of the Coffs region in the last 14 days or have had visitors from outside the Coffs region (particularly from greater Sydney areas) please do not visit Mater Christi until further notice. If you are unsure of your situation please contact the Director of Nursing for clarification.

  • All visitors and staff are to wear surgical face masks in Mater Christi facility

  • Visitors are limited to 2 persons only at one time for each resident, limit visiting time to 30 minutes, not to have any contact with other residents and the 4 square metre rule now applies. Please avoid mixing in common areas.

  • In place is a single point of entry and exit for all visitors. All visitors must be screened at reception.

  • Booking is required – Please do call to do so, 0266586133. Visiting times are 1000 – 1630hrs, excluding lunch break from 12:00 – 1:00pm.

  • Planned resident outings for essential appointments only are permitted, subject to prior notice and upon “risk assessment “approved by the Director of Nursing, ensuring no contacts with persons from outside our region.

  • Visits on compassionate grounds, for end of life care, continue unchanged.

  • Families who are unable to visit can organise to keep in contact with their loved ones either by phoning/organising a video or phone contact supported by our lifestyle team.

  • Remember, if you are not feeling well, or have a family member unwell, then please stay away and see you doctor or get tested if there are symptoms.

We encourage you to be vigilant, avoid crowded areas as much as possible, maintain social distancing and sanitise your hands often. Thank you for your cooperation and if having questions/concerns please call us before visiting.
