Our very own local identity Zippy the greyhound is taking his trusty human, Fr Michael Alcock, on a sponsored bike ride from Sawtell to Armidale with the goal to raise $20,000.
Funds will be donated to the orphanage and a centre for the blind, lame and elderly under the care of “Fr Tellie” ( Fr Teleshpor Zenda) in the Dioscese of Songea where all the people, catholic and non- catholic alike live in very basic conditions.
These intrepid travellers departed from Sawtell on Saturday 11th September … wish them strength!
