ADDITIONAL FACILITIES
THE GROVE CAFE
Opened in November 2014 “The Grove” is located adjacent to Mater Christi and Our Lady of The Way Chapel. Serving coffee, tea cold drinks and light meals it seats 36 and is open from 9am till 3pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 1pm on Saturdays. The café is available for use by staff and residents of Mater Christi and Marian Grove and their visitors as well as members of the General Public. Meals and desserts are created on site by our Staff Chef and her catering team and served with a smile by Kerrie and her Café Team. In addition to being a wonderful asset to Marian Grove village residents it is a great enhancement to the quality of life of those Mater Christi residents who are less mobile and their visitors, offering a convenient, safe and easy access area to enjoy all the perks of ‘going out’ without the stresses!
THE PRODUCTION KITCHEN
Opened in 2014, the onsite production kitchen is run by Chef/ Catering Manager Sandy Devine and the Catering Team who ensure that Mater Christi Residents and Café Patrons can enjoy fresh cooked meals reminiscent of home cooking with an extra special touch.
OUR LADY OF THE WAY CHAPEL
Our Lady of the Way Chapel (OLOW) was opened in 2007. As an oratory (place of prayer) of the Sawtell Catholic Parish, OLOW is used for worship and reflection by residents and families of Marian Grove, Mater Christi, and Villa Maria, as well as community members. Regular liturgical and informal prayer times are well attended and led by various Christian groups.
OLOW is open daily in daylight hours.
LEARNING CENTRE
The air conditioned Learning Centre provides the perfect venue for business meetings, seminars or training workshop and is available for hire. The centre has standing room for a maximum of 80 participants. It also has the capacity to be partitioned into separate rooms.
